Black Widow

A spinoff after The Avengers? They scrapped the idea once, but now are bringing it back after ScarJo & Iron Man II.

Makes sense, if they stick to it. I mean, she's a lesser known character. Build her up before giving her a movie is probably best. Although, I honestly don't care that much. Just thought I'd share the info. Heh.

This could be really good, especially if it includes some of the Marvel U's other big name spies like Hawkeye, Mockingbird, etc.

^ I didn't think about Marvel Knights and all the street level baddies. Ooo, Silver Sable could be a possibility. Misty Knight and Colleen Wing. Maybe some Union Jack? Arachne would be fun to have in the movie. Skipping the Spider-mantle, it'd be another redheaded, spider-themed femme fatale to compete with for Black Widow. The Foreigner? Okay...done listing.

(Just listing those that'd be neat and seemingly a cheap licenses.)

As of right now, the news doesn't excite me.

I don't see her being able to carry an action movie.

It will be like Elektra.. horrible

Or worse, like Catwoman.

I could see it being like Elektra but not as bad. The problem with Elektra is that at least with me, I had hopes for Jennifer Garner. She was able to be the lead in a kick ass spy television show and I liked her in the role of Elektra. The problem with the movie was it was really dull.

When you take Scarlet Johansson, I don't see her as a strong enough actress to carry her own movie no matter what kind of movie it is. I found her performance in Iron Man II to be very plastic so I just don't see how you can take that character and have her star in her own movie. A S.H.I.E.L.D. movie to me would make so much more sense and wind up being a lot more fun as well.

This might be a movie to watch without the sound on.
