Scarlet Johansson in indeed Black Widow

Awesome. The photoshopping on this cover is shitty, though. The armor shot is so clearly a composite it's embarrassing. Either that or it's just a horrible photo.

I'm hoping ScarJo will exceed my very low expectations of what her performance will be. And Rourke's not going to have his crazy pirate look in the movie, is he? :huh

He's a weird Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo mix, apparently, so yeah. At least in the beginning.

Rourke looks more like a white Mandarin on that cover.

This revelation made my nuts drop. A LOT. I may be arrested for raping the screen in the theater.

Ditto. Her casting really bothers me, to the point where it could make it a lot harder to like the movie, irrational as that may be.

My dislike has nothing to do with celeb-gossip. Like, "Ugh, it's Ben Affleck, it'll be terrible." That's not fair. Try to enjoy the character, and don't focus on the actor. But see, that's the thing with...ScarJo, we're calling her now? Heh. She cannot act. Simply put.

Not sure where all the ScarJo bad acting comes from. Not once have I seen her, you know, act badly.

She was good in Lost In Translation and Ghost World and ok in Match Point. I haven't really enjoyed her in anything else, really.

I just wish they got a natural readhead to play Natasha. Why are blondes getting all the choice redhead roles in comic movies?

I'm not overly impressed with the casting of Black
Widow for Iron Man II, but I have been known for being
wrong before and here is hoping I am. I guess I am
just not a huge Scarlett Johanson fan. Hopefully,
she'll be good in this movie.

She was pretty good in Ghost World, but that's because she was playing a fairly dull, monosyllabic person. If you want to see some really bad acting, watch The Other Boleyn Girl. Awful, awful movie.

That movie itself wasn't all that good. I'm not sure why I don't like
her. I would say it's some kind of X-Factor or something. Her performances
just doesn't wow me and I'm not all that picky when it comes to certain
performances.

- He's Just Not That into You (I did watch this at a friends house.)

Like Josh said, Ghost World was the exception because--I've said this before--her character required a bleak, somewhat detached persona. She got that part by default.

I actually thought they'll introduce the Yelena Black Widow and mention an older woman called Natasha who was the original BW (could even be Yelena's aunt or something) and for some reason Yelena turns out to be a traitor (like she became a "villain" in 616 and how Natasha betrayed Tony and co. in Ultmates). Then Fury could bring back Natasha (not an old former spy, but a woman in her mid-late 30s or early 40s) that now has to work with Iron Man, Fury and SHIELD to take down the new Black Widow.

Shes in 8 legged freaks? lol. really? I've seen it like a bunch of times and don't remember her.

The Prestige is a plus on her resume to me

She is beautiful, but that's it.
