This is boring and doesn't affect me. I don't care.

Forcing 5.8% of pay to go to government-funded pension? And doing away with merit-based raises altogether? I bet there's a line item in that bill that changes the state flag's color from blue to red as well. shake my head

I'm still pissed at Wisconsin for not re-electing Russ Feingold as Senator last November. He was easily one of the ballsiest and least sell-out politicians of our lifetimes. The guy was not a corporate/special interest shill like 90% of the politicians in Washington. And he's a civil liberties champion being the only Senator smart enough and ballsy enough to vote against the Patriot Act as well as one of the few Senators to publicly speak out against Bush's illegal wiretapping program. Not to mention one of the few Senators to vote against authorizing the Iraq War, something Bush and his boys were labeling as "un-American" at the time. Feingold was never afraid to vote for what he thought was right, and usually he was right on the money. Unfortunately, he fell victim to the blind "anti-incumbent" wave that swept the nation last fall. And now his seat belongs to a corporate shill like Ron Johnson.

Ha ha, but if you will also remember I stated that one of the reasons why I wasn't concerned about Egypt was because there are other things closer to home this is one of those things. And I know you're joking in order to tease me, but this really does effect you a lot more than Egypt does.

The Democrats that would have to vote on the bill fled the state so they couldn't vote, pushing back the passing of the bill. Also 25,000 people are out in Madison protesting the bill today.
