'The Walking Dead' TV Show to Air on AMC

I came.

AMC rocked with Mad Men.

AMC totally rocked with Breaking Bad.

With The Walking Dead, AMC now rules the universe.

I kind of wish it was on HBO.

HBO mostly sucks nowadays.

AWESOME. How fun would it be if they stick real close to the source material and we fuck with the people that are not reading the book and tell them to get really attached to characters we know are going to die.

I don't think it's going to lose anything by losing the occasional F bomb. Both Mad Men and Breaking Bad use every word but fuck and See You Next Tuesday, so I don't think it'll suffer by being on commercial television.

That being said, I hope people take to it like they did the other shows, so we don't end up with only eight episodes and a lot of wistful 'it would have been nice' moments.

Not sure how much blood n' guts they can show on AMC, but this is fantastic news!

With the smoking, drinking, womanizing and adult themes in Mad Men, and the drug abuse in Breaking Bad - I think they'll do fine.

I think this thread pretty well establishes that we ARE.

I think this should be cool. How well this show will go over with an overall audience remains to be seen.

LIES! True Blood is pretty awesome.

I watch and like it, but it's not "quality TV" like other shows that made HBO what it is. Like The Sopranos, The Wire and Carnivale. True Blood makes even a downgrade for Alan Ball from Six Feet Under. But as I said, I still like watching it, an horror soap opera as I call it.
