Official LOST Thread - SPOILERS

I'd like people to survive but the more I think about the more I'm suspecting everyone's going to die except one who will be the person who takes Jacob's place.

^ I'm thinking two. Jack and Sawyer or Hurley and...Desmond? I confused myself with thoughts. Nevermind.

If they kill off Hurley or Desmond, I'll be inconsoleable.

That would be so horrible and heart breaking to those either one of them

Meh. I was told that if this episode didn't do it for me, then I was soulless. It really didn't.

Spoiler:

A lot of the Jack/Locke stuff had me falling asleep.

And next week...Jacob and MIB? Guh.

- If Frank missed the 815 flight, was recruited for a team that will find the island and the Losties, then left left and got back again... it'll be very, very stupid to dismiss his presence on the island as "pointless." No, Frank has purpose on the island and the island isn't done with him yet. It was done with Ilana and many others, but Frank who was supposed to be the original pilot has been to the island three times and if he didn't die immediately after the second crash, I'll keep assuming he has more to do.

- Sayid says Jack is the #1 candidate. We all know it's going to happen. Unless the writers are going to pull a big twist, that's the most predictable aspect of the finale.

- It was great to see Sayid redeeming himself, but I wasn't surprised or saddened by his death. His character was gone for a very long time. And was it too obvious he spared Desmond's life?

- Jin and Sun's sad departure was overshadowed by the stupidity of him not leaving for the sake of their daughter, her not trying to convince by bringing up the kid's name and in the last moments of their lives two native Koreans chose to speak English with each other. Yes, that's very believable. Now, with them gone and despite the fact I think Jack is THE Candidate, perhaps the "Kwan" on the wall and the lighthouse was never one of them, but their kid.

- At least the scene of Hurley and everyone crying for their dead friends was touching.

- While the flash-sideways story continued mirroring events from the original timeline, this time around it was kinda "meh." Yes, Dr. Shepard, now every new person you're going to meet was on Oceanic 815 with you. Start doing the math already.

Wait...Oceanic 815?

While I said I think everyone dies except for whoever replaces Jack I've been kind of thinking the sideways timeline may in fact become the dominant timeline in which case none of them are dead. If that makes sense.

Another thing I was thinking was that there is some irony to the idea of Jack and Locke (although it's not really him of course) being combatants on that island for eternity (if Jack becomes Jacob's replacement).

^ That makes sense. The irony of MiB being "trapped" in the form of a person who loved the island and found purpose to stay, yet fails, would be a nice touch.

I wanna see more Jacob and MIB backstory tonight, so I'm hoping for that. In the meantime....here's what's been going on with JSC every tuesday.
