I mean, be HONEST, PoP!pers...does it FEEL like it's ready to come to a conclusion? There seems to be no real sense of urgency.

Funny thing about this latest episode. For a very long time I was telling people my theory that Jacob and the MiB were possibly Cain and Abel. Although this isn't correct it was kind of not far off the mark in a way.

I enjoyed the episode. Many didn't, it seemed. A whole bunch of Twitter people were saying things that they didn't understand after the fact, that have pretty much been explained, at least to an extent (This isn't anyone on my followed list. ). They're saying things like, how is MiB in Locke's form and they didn't really explain what the light was...and all that. And I'm like, it's that chronal energy. Life/death, time/space, CREATION, you mofos. Ahhh...well. Stupid is as stupid does.

I totally enjoyed the episode. I found myself fascinated through the whole thing. In my opinion there was a lot of information coming out in this one.

last episode were to hammer home the point that MIB is THE evil. But why? He was betrayed by his (fake) mother and murdered by his twin brother. Why is he the evil one? As far as I can see, he just wants fucking revenge. And to GTFO the island.

His body is dead, too. That's probably how he takes that form.

I was also thinking that he wasn't that evil, either.

I agree with you - MiB's body is dead and he can take that form the same way he can take the form of the other dead.

So here's my question - who took the form of his real mother?

Also, with your other point, I was telling a friend last week that I'm not entirely convinced that the MiB was evil and Jacob was good. I think at the beginning the MiB wasn't evil. Over time, however, I think he has become maybe not evil but definitely unhinged. He'll now stop at nothing, it seems, to get off the island. I don't think that's what I'd call evil just bad.

I've given this a fair bit of thought and I will actually be very disappointed if the series doesn't end with some sort of mystery. The series has always been about mystery and I would find it perfect if it ended with a really big question or a fair amount of mysteriousness. To me, that would be perfect (I realise it might piss off a lot of people that think everything needs to be tied up in a neat bow and explained by the end).

On the time left, surely if you can make a movie that goes for 2 hours that contains an entire story, then 3 and 1/2 hours is enough time to bring this to a conclusion.

^ Yea. I'm still thinking the ending will end with some, maybe, theologic mystery. Like the origin of the energy and the island.

I believe the form of his mother was simply a "ghost". Just like what Hurley experiences and Miles. "Erau" was special. In that he was sensitive to things. Like Walt and some of the other Losties. And, the reason I put "ghost" in quotations earlier is because I don't think they're ghosts in the conventional sense. Many ghost hunters today see ghosts in a scientific manner. Ghosts are simply energy/consciousness imprinted in a time and/or space. So, technically, even a living person is a ghost of their time. (I'm going out on a tangent with the ghost thing, but who knows...maybe they'll get around to that. We all return to The Source? The energy/light.)

Not the way THEY tell a story. 90 minutes of that 3 and 1/2 hours is going to be taken up by walking through the jungle and pensive stares between Jack, Kate, and Sawyer.
