2010 NHL Playoffs Thread

Last spring Chicago used speed, big bodies and sporadic but timely good goaltending to win the series. This year the Canucks are as fast as Chicago up front and have(with the departure of Khabibulin)far superior goaltending.

Nashville exposed the Blackhawks weaknesses. The Preds scored four goals three times. This from a team that was 12th in the NHL 5-on-5 and 24th on the power play.

Canucks in 6.

And Matt, Luongo either chokes or triumphs when he plays us, and neither team has really proven itself superior to the other in regular season play. I'm going Hawks in 6.

The Canucks are a better team this year, the Hawks lost a HUGE piece in net. I'm taking Nucks in 5 (I'm being very optimistic) but it'll more likely be in 6 or 7.

This is me rooting for the Habs tonight...

I'll take Luongo over Niemi any day because lets face it, the Bulin wall was huge for the Hawks last year and basically stole the series for them. Niemi looked very shaky against a Preds team without their leading goal scorer.

We may be square in season play(2-2) but the Canucks scored more goals than the Hawks during those outings.

I want to thank the ref for royally fucking the Caps last night. Clearly was a goal. If it wasn't a goal due to goalie interference, then why was Mike Knuble not assessed a minor penalty? Knuble brushed against Halak because he was pushed by Gill and that is considered interference? As soon as he revoked that goal, I knew that cost us the game. Fuck you, ref! You are garbage. Absolute garbage. Guys, have fun watching Shittsburgh win the cup again.

All the Preds need is one more offensive weapon, and they'd be in good shape.
And to think Kessel could have been a Pred, but he signed with Toronto instead for only 500K more a year.
We'll see what this off season brings.

I liked it a whole lot better when a player wasn't allowed in the blue trapezoid @ all.
None of this "goalie interference" blown ref calls horse crap.

After the favorable calls Washington got in Game 2, it's hard to figure how any Caps' supporter could point a finger of blame at the officiating.

Do not agree. If they would have called it a goal, would the Caps have won? I don't know, maybe, maybe not. The fact is, I hate having big time games get decided by the officials.

^ I would argue that the series/game was decided by the Caps not doing jack on the PP.

In regards to tonight's game...uuugh. I guess Sharks? I can't bring myself to cheer for the Red Wings, so...go Sharks? Eh.
