What book are you reading now?

Reading Feet of Clay by Terry Pratchet. My aunt wanted to share this with me as she is a avid fan of Pratchet and the series.

Peter & Max - Bill Willingham

Just finished up Clockers by Richard Price a few days ago. I had to read it for a class. It's about a drug dealer and his life as well as a cop and his (as well as him trying to solve a murder). The focus changes from chapter to chapter. I didn't enjoy it at first, but about halfway through it really picked up. It was a nice look into the world of drug dealing as well as the police.

Well I liked Ender's Game. I don't know if it really lived up to the hype and everything I've heard about for all these years. That being said, I really enjoyed it more for the obvious effect it's had on more recent science fiction. It was a great story, but the end didn't really leave me feeling like I needed to rush out and start the next one.

I've been reading Get Shorty by Elmore Leonard. It's good, but I haven't read any of it this week because I've had other school stuff to do all week so far.

I believe this is book 12

So I got some time before I'm caught up.

I've also been listening to the audio books of the Dresden Files. James Marsters does the narration and I have to say, it threw me off a bit because I am used to his British accent when he talks like Spike.

Dresden is one of my absolute favorites in modern fantasy/fiction. Jim Butcher is a genius!

I love his take on magic. It's really very cool.

Any books you guys reccommend? I'm re-reading Carroll's "Alices Adventures in Wonderland & Through The Looking Glass and What Alice Found There" for the bajillionth time.

I need some variety.

Have you ever heard of the term "science fiction"? If so, check out anything by Dan Abnett.

I'm currently reading the fourth book of The Horus Hersy, The Flight of the Eisenstein by James Swallow.

I think I may have that exact annotated book.

How 'bout The Looking Glass Wars. Oh, right, variety. Um...Nightside series by Simon R. Green are always fun, quick reads.

Already read book 1 in the Looking Glass Wars, I just gotta get the other 2!

I am finishing "Grave Peril" which is the third book of the Dresden Files series. Wow. It's just outstanding. I need to get the next book STAT!

I just read "Gods Behaving Badly" by Marie Phillips - SUCH a good book, I loved it!

Over the weekend I started Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Finally got a friend to loan me the book. I must say Rowling's work is seriously overrated. They're entertaining books, but that's about it. This last one seems like she's making shit up that should have been introduced 4 books back!

Started a book called FEED on Monday, and damn, is it good. Mira Grant, real name Seanan McGuire, creates a wonderful, and dare I say unique post-zombie outbreak world. The zombies are only a backdrop basically, with the real story being about politics, blogging, and general paranoia. I highly, highly reccommend this book. I haven't been able to put it down yet.

I'm currently reading Rob Thurman's Trick of the Light and The Diabetic Bible (sadly)

World War Z (Finally), very cool book, I think Brooks has a hard time writing different characters as pretty much every other character was the same as another he wrote in the book, but it's still allot of fun.

That book had appeal for many different readers. At a conference I attended, Vince Flynn actually recommended it to us all. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Not the best written bok ever, but as you said a lot of fun.
