Doom Patrol sounds like a cool back-up for a book like Secret Six but--in a way, thankfully--there's no more back-ups anyway.

Oh good. I wasn't sure if I just wasn't feeling it with #29 or what. Characters seemed off base, the story was...there was action and storyline that seemed like it should be hard hitting, like with Vandal & Scandal and Lex/Vandal & the Black Lantern power, but it was just lackluster and nothing really happened. The dialogue was almost atrocious. Actually looked at the cover, convincing myself that it couldn't be Simone. :/
Ah well. Bump in the road. It's hardly a crushing blow to my love for the series.
Will save reading #30 until #31.

Picked up Doom Patrol #19 to finish off the crossover. Meh. Not bad, but not great, either. Anyway, the crossovers are out of the way, so let's bring on the next arc, picking up the plot thread involving Neron's "Get Out of Hell Free" card!

That Doom Patrol issue was a waste of time. It reminded me of stories from years ago when they would make one team or character job to the other to show how cool the less popular book could be.

Yup, I picked it up last night just to finish the crossover and really, it did little for me. Sure, many of Giffen's one-liners and characters were fun to follow, but the plotting was all over the place as was the art. The Secret Six issue was a lot better.
