Actually, it's only considered the greatest primarily by directors and critics (or film professionals in general, except those named Knize), and mostly for the filming techniques that Welles pioneered on that film. However, it is a powerful movie, and I think that if you're over the age of 25, it's more than high time you Netflixed that thing.

Just this weekend, my Uncle asked me if I was a Communist when I told him I didn't like... something... I forget what now. But I explained that my general distaste for fireworks and zombie movies had gotten me asked that quite a lot recently.

Actually, not gonna lie. Apple pie is NOT really a favorite. I don't love two crust pies. I prefer lattic top or crumble top pies, and strawberry rhubarb is easily my favorite.

When I studied Cinema 101 as part of my computer animation course couple of years ago, we were asked to watch certain films for technical reasons and crappy movies to learn from their mistakes. It was all about technicals and not classics or quality at all.

(Although watching the first confrontation between Arnold and Robert Patrick in T2 just for the amount of camera shots is quite nice.)

Yeah, we watched CK for my Language of Film class.

I took my Language of Film class because I wanted to be mindful of framing, angles, etc for my comic work, and it really paid out in spades. So much so, I actually try to work it into my literary work. Citizen Kane is one of those films that really helps "teach" these techniques for those that pay attention. Same with Hitchcock's films.

Man, I loved that animation! Reminded me more of Blum's work, though.

Judy?

If it seemed reminiscent of Don Bluth's work, that's probably because Bluth used to be an animator at Disney.

You're joking, but my heart just stopped for a second. And seriously, all of you, watch the damn movie. How did you study film and not HAVE to watch that movie at some point, K?

Well, for one, the "film school" I went to has commercials that air during Jerry Springer.

And second...I'm not a fan of the "classics". The pacing, the acting, the lack of color, the shitty sound...

But I'm sure I'll watch Citizen Kane before I die.

I'd also like to point out that I AM French Canadian... which reminds me. Second favorite pie? Pork pie. Then Chicken Pot Pie. Then Blueberry, then Banana Cream with Oreo crust, then Pecan, then Pumpkin.

Apple's not even in the top 7

Not only Canadian but a Canadian from the Bad Side of the Sheild. Fuck, Kerouac. You're like a flightless finch that shit in Darwin's mouth when he was saying it shouldn't exist.
