To me, a good movie is a good movie, regardless of when it came out. The same thing goes for shitty movies. Yeah, there's a lot of lousy old movies, but there's a lot of really good ones too.

Dammit! I knew I needed a Bogart vehicle on that list! But, to be fair, even the hardest heart set against classic movies has likely seen Casablanca.

Now, The African Queen...you talk about a GREAT movie. Bogart and Hepburn were an amazing pair in that flick. But that wasn't a black-and-white film.

Knize specifically said 'lack of color', so I'm assuming B&W.

And To Kill A Mockingbird is not something to suffer your way through. It's an amazing movie. Amazing. It and A Night to Remember are my two favorite B&W movies of all time.
