It's long as shit, though, so clear your schedule before you watch it.

Not nearly as long as Lord of the Rings: Return of the King extended edition. Shocked

Not nearly as good either. Extended RotK is perfection.

Which is still shorter than Gettysburg. I saw that over a few days in one of my high school History classes, wonder if any English teachers are showing Return of the King in their classes.

Oh, let's compare apples and fish, shall we? Rolling Eyes

They're both excellent films in their own right; to compare them to each other is to do each a disservice.

There's no reason to take my preference for one movie over another as an attack or some sort of personal slight.

Almost Famous was wonderful. Where is Patrick Fugit nowadays? I've seen him in a few other movies here and there, but I figured he'd get more work.

I don't think he does a lot of high-profile stuff, but I think he gets pretty steady work. The last thing I saw him in was Wristcutters: A Love Story.

And I didn't. I just think that comparing two movies that don't even exist in the same genre is kind of like comparing apples and fish. There's nothing to base a decision on other than your own aesthetic tastes.

Okay. Whatever. You make a valid, assy point.

I can't imagine anyone else who works so fucking hard at being an ass to everyone. You may be a sexy bastard, but goddamned if you aren't just about unpleasant every time we interact lately.

That's probably because the only response I ever get from you is bitching. If you hate me so much, avoid me.

I never said I hated you. Quite the opposite, in fact. It just seems like you're pointlessly acerbic, lately.

And I'd like to know what response you got from me that was bitching. All I said was that it was unfair to compare dichotomous movies.

So because two movies belong to different genres, I can't prefer one over the other?

As for you attacking me and calling me names, what did I say that was so offensive and mean?
This?
And since I was merely stating my own opinion, I don't see why that's such a bad thing.
Perhaps you're misinterpreting what I post, because up until you started insulting me with no provocation, I was being perfectly civil. In fact, the only time I really do come after you with an intent to hurt is after you have said something insulting to me, and even then I never resort to calling you names, I simply defend my position, aggressively if need be.

I'll admit that a couple of weeks ago I was being needlessly cantankerous, but that was towards everyone, not just you. I've since curbed my tongue. At least, until I'm attacked, then I will unleash. I'm not really sure why you feel so targeted. I don't recall ever sniping at you without some sort of incentive.

I watched this over the weekend and am totally on the other side of spectrum. I just couldn't seem get into it.

My son fell asleep during it. don't know

And as to complete invalidate any future opinions I may have on films /w this crowd, I watched Tranformers 2 twice over the weekend. I still really like it and some of the muddled plot points actually became a little clearer to me.

Did it ever become clear why they used the Allspark to revive Jetfire to learn how to revive Optimus, rather than just using it to revive Optimus?

You do realize that I'm not fighting with you, yes? I refuse to fight about something as dumb as this.

I might suggest, in the future, that when you're stating your opinion, you mention that fact, and avoid absolutes. e.g. 'In my opinion, you've been unnecessarily antagonistic about your responses to my posts.'

I apologize if you felt like I was attacking you, because that wasn't really my intent. I just find that your dry humor doesn't always translate in a emotion-free medium like this, and that can be frustrating some times.

Now, can we just get along? Wink I love you

It appeared to me that they just didn't know the shard had the capability to restore life. Reviving Optimus actually wasn't even a goal until AFTER Jetfire was restored and he informs them that only a Prime can defeat The Fallen. Sam was previously just simply on the run trying to find a way to unlock the knowloedge from the AllSpark.

Also, Jetfire was never 'dead', just non-operational.

When the Decepticons used the other shard to revive NBE-1, aka Megatron, this was much more involved process requiring the shard to be inserted into Megatron as well as additional parts for repair -- essentially a surgical procedure akin to an organ transplant.
Scalpel: "Need parts. Kill the little one."

Jetfire was simply brought back similarly to the kitchen gadgets, only needed the shard's radiation to reactivate him.
Wheelie: "Hold the shard up to him and watch the magic happen."

Of course, this is just how I interpreted it. I could've just been enamored with big, shiney robots fighting each other.

He's in the Vampire's Assistant.

Loved Wristcutters. Want the GN...or was a story in a book of short-stories? Pizzeria Kamikaze.
