Just got in from the midnight showing and I thought it was pretty good, it didn't blow me away like the first one but that's probably because I had no expectations of the first one. I liked the scene after the credits as well although given the location I thought it would pertain to someone else. Overall I'd give Iron Man 2 a 3.5 out of 5.

I guess I don't seem to have the problems with the movie that you did.
The biggest problem I had with it. She can't even attempt a second of a Russian accent?
I get the fact that she's into her double role, whatever, but she didn't even in all that action, all that excitement lose her accent for a second.
I'm going to go see it again next friday, maybe this time the first half of the movie won't be ruined for me by the light being left on in the projection room and the asshat kicking the back of my seat in time to the music.

Speaking of the music, whose idea was it to have all the songs be AC/DC tunes? I've got nothing against AC/DC, but I HATE it when a movie has all the songs on the soundtrack (aside from the score, of course) performed by the same artist or band. It's like all those damn Nick Drake songs in Away We Go. After the third or fourth song, I was ready to stab myself in the ear.

I enjoyed the DJ AM mix during the fight scene.

I liked all the AC/DC. It wasn't ALL AC/DC, there was Queen and The Clash in there too.

Well come on when they did their new album they HAD to know they were going to be providing songs for the movies. After all I've been listening to War Machine since Black Ice was released.

I don't know who said the soundtrack was all AC/DC, because it certainly wasn't. There were other bands used, as well as a traditional instrumental score. Yeah, the album I'm looking at on Amazon is Iron Man 2 BY AC/DC. So if there's another album out there that's not what you're looking at let me know but.

They didn't even use "War Machine" in the movie, which surprised me really. They pimped the commercials out with AC/DC goodness but there was almost none in the movie by comparison. Which is ok but not what I expected.

Towards the end, Fury tells Stark he's unsuitable for the Avengers Initiative or something to that effect. does this mean Iron Man won't be in the Avengers film?

Literally just got back from the theater. Loved the movie, loved Downey Jr.'s performance, and basically, an overall great movie. My only minor little gripe is the resolution to the Whiplash character. I mean COME ON! So much build-up, to only have it end in a "meh" fashion. 4.5/5 for me, and I will probably see it again sometime in IMAX.
