Anyone interested in playing a new game on here?

I'm thinking it'll be kind of like a message board dungeons and dragons. A fantasy adventure involving treasure, monsters, and suprises.

I would be the DM, painting a picture for you through words, while five people (five is a good number for a basic story test run I think, if the first adventure turns out cool and more people want on board, I can expand a second one.) create and build their characters and travel along the twisting narrative. Very basic dice rolling would be done by me, and I'd keep track of things like hit points, inventory etc. More will be worked out before we start, but first I just wanted to know if five people would be interested in this. Any takers? It'll involve writing and story telling on all our parts.

I miss playing D&D. I haven't played since dad died. I'd be game.

Cool. Keep in mind I've never actually played Dungeons and Dragons, and the situations and beasts will be one of my own design, but it'll be the same gist, just, you know, slower. lol

Sweet deal. I love me some RPGs. I'm going through withdrawals ever since having a baby. Haven't played anything in about 6 months or so. Probably doesn't seem like much, but I've been a weekly gamer for the past ten years.

This should be fun. Really looking forward to it.

cool guys. If you guys want to start working on character names, appearence and the such, go for it. I'm going to come up with some baddies and their hit points, a system for magic, and you'll also have the chance to purchase weapons and abilities.

Going with the standard classes or something else? Same with Human, Elf, Dwarf, Hafling?

I've missed D&D

I have a few ideas for characters but picking one is going to be tough.

Maybe we'll have to get a couple of groups going. This could take off and become its own area if people really got into it.


Any guidelines for character creation? Are we using standard point-buy D&D methods or assigned array or something else? I'm getting a little too excited about this considering I'm still at work.

Other players, any idea what type character you want to play (rogue, knight, brute, scholar, mage) or any particular alignments in mind?

It kinds of depends on how things go. I'm familiar with playing a rogue from before but I wouldn't mind playing a mage or a bard.

Yeesh... bards. You can have it.

I've got a couple of characters spinning around in my head. I usually end up playing either a Knight or a Necromancer... not sure why those two appeal to me so much considering how different they are. I'm also not opposed to playing a Cleric if no one else wants to (which usually no one does).

I'd only play a bard for the sake of my dad. It was the last character he played.
