Time out. I know it's not a physical magazine but to come on this board, where all the main guys came from freelancing at Wizard, and ask that question is really rather insulting in my humble little opinion.

If you haven't read the articles, reviews and features on the main site, and really, you should have by now, do so. It's like Wizard in their heyday but better. Honestly. It's good shit.

Good news, I hear the Wizard clip show survived the massacre.

What's that? They don't have a clip show?

Just another reason they're obsolete. To quote my new favorite Jared clip: "And boom goes the dynamite"

But on a serious note, best wishes to all who lost their jobs today. Losing your job, especially the way it sounds like they did, sucks wicked bad.

It seems wierd, I just bought the new Twisted Toyfare Theater trade. I just got the latest issue not to long ago.

The magazine, which looked to have went through some cosmetic changes, was one of the best issues since it cut pages.

If they are coming out with a new site, who knows maybe a new WUMB, then I hope it keeps some of what made Toyfare great.

Seriously? a new WUMB? there is no need for it first of all and second, trust me, there will never be another WUMB, it's over, time to move on.

You could read the back of a cereal box in the same time it took to read Wizard. You'd get far more valuable information from it as well.

This.

And this.

The Panels on Pages forum isn't an interim board until the WUMB resurfaces (which it won't, get over it). It's a community built on top of a functioning main site that a lot of work is poured into. The site is free to users and while I'm sure monetary contributions are appreciated, they're never solicited. Try to show a little more tact.

azrael07 wrote: now what will i read on the shitter?

And since I really don't know where to put this, I'll write it here (hopefully some of the guys from Toyfare troll these boards).

Toyfare, I want to thank you for bringing me here. I don't mean in the WUMB fiasco and the emergence of PoP, I mean thank you for bringing me in touch with these amazing people. I was content to just read your articles and TTTs until that magical day you decided to run a scavenger hunt. Not only was it something that I had an amazing time doing with my family, it brought me to your boards so I could discuss rules and what I'd found with other toy enthusiasts. It was there that I first met some of the people I now consider friends...no, that I now consider family. Had it not been for your magazine and that scavenger hunt, I probably would not have made the friendships and connections I have made over the last three years.

So again, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Your magazine will be sorely missed in my house (especially in the bathroom Wink )

im not saying it's not, and i certainly didn't mean anything insulting by it. It's just, since i was about 12 or so, Toyfare has been my favorite magazine. Each month, i look forward to it.One of the best christmas presents i got was a subscription to it quite a few years ago.

lmao

You'll read http://panelsonpages.com on your iPad, or http://panelsonpages.com/?feed=rss2 on your Kindle or phone. For serials, it's awesome. (I read the PoP! RSS feed on my phone while waiting for my turn to audition.)

Or add this:

and this:

And you can print your own DIY magazine straight from the main site.

Problem solved. Anyone want to hire me to solve all their problems? Wink

Narration: This is Juan. A 30-year old man who poses as a 12-year old online for Perverted Justice- screen name: LimbrrrGymnast2000.

Juan: Hey! Come on in! I made some lemonade! You should take your clothes off and get in the hot tub? Did you bring the 4Loco and condoms?

Predator: You look different than your photo.... Do you have a cold or something? You sound funny.

Chris Hansen: Hi. Why don't you have a seat over there?

Juan whips it out behind the curtain.

other than this image in the first post, i haven't seen anything or heard anything about the cancelation of either. In fact, the latest issue not only advertises the next issue, but even advertises the 'First Ever Toyfare Awards' or some such.

Are you just casually referencing the fact that you haven't noticed large amounts of news (though, they're all over the place) or are you saying that because you think this might be mis-information and Wizard is still publishing?

Go to wizarduniverse.com and click on the 'Subscriptions' link. Let me know how that goes for you.

The simple thing is that things change. I'm sure at the time the issue you were looking at was going to print, they might have had every intention of having the next issue come out. It's a matter of things probably changed between then and now.
