Well I'm glad I went to the last real midohio con.... ill miss wizard just because it was part of my childhood.... i only got on the wumb because I was just getting back into comics at the time, summer/fall 2009, had some interesting convos... kept hearing about POP but never knew if I should come here... then the wumb died... and I remembered this place... and since then I have never looked back.... wumb and wizard is like that first car that you like... you don't want it to go but once it does, you wonder why you liked it so much compared to your new better car,POP .... long live POP

I was quoted from WUMB in Wizard 3 out of last 4 months they quoted us...so I stuck with them--through thick and THIN--until the end.

I had a small article published in Toyfare, appeared in quick hits about 2 times, and got into a G.I. Joe retrospective article, so Toyfare will always hold a place in my heart. I'm really sad to see it go, but then again I hadn't bought a copy since they shrunk the magazine down. I couldn't justify the expense and I love print!

You do realize that things get printed WEEKS in advance (perhaps even months) and that given how fucked up and crazy Wizard has been it's entirely likely that they thought an issue was planned that they don't have the money or staff to actually put the next one out. This whole cancellation business is probably just a ploy to get free publicity. Soon they'll relaunch a new Wizard and it will be BIGGER AND BETTER. The speculative market is coming back with a vengeance!

I heard a rumor that they wanted to start over with a brand new #1 issue.

I heard that they were not only gonna start over with a new number one, but the new focus of Wizard is gonna be spotlighting indiependent comics. They are also going to bring back 1/2 issues and new Toyfare exclusive action figures again. They are also going to have Wizard Rings!

I hope the rings come in different colors. That would be cool.

And flavors.
