Underhanded, from two feet away, I'm sure.

It was pretty good but not great. I would give it 6.9 I guess. Like a 2.5 star movie.

Really? I have yet to actually see it, but today I read the script and it blew me away.

Debaser77 wrote:A Prophet - A French crime drama about a young Arab man who becomes a runner for the Corsican mob in prison and slowly starts his own criminal empire. Unlike most American mob movies, this doesn't show a romanticised version of organized crime. The movie is brutal and very well-acted, though the ending is somewhat unsatisfying. Taken as a whole, this was an excellent movie. 4.5/5

Mamet's whip-smart dialogue got in the way of the story at times, but overall it was a very effective and well-crafted thriller. Kilmer was refreshingly understated in his performance as well. 4/5 stars.
Yeah, Spartan was a good movie. I saw that and The Salton Sea in the same weekend. I'd never heard of either one before watching them but my wife said both were really good. And ,as usual, she was on point.

I've mentioned before that I'm generally not a fan of British TV or movies, but I loved this. It was just great fun.

I just saw it as well. I agree it's good, and that Sorkin & Fincher both deserve praise, but I still feel that overall The King's Speech is a better film.comicgeekelly wrote:I just watched The Social Network. Very good movie. It deserves all of the awards it's getting.
